This recipe always makes me think of summer. It is the perfect treat for a hot day- not to mention that it's jaw-droppingly easy and healthy too!
Matcha Frozen Yogurt
Ingredients:
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (I used Fage 5% plain greek yogurt)
- 2 tsp matcha green tea powder
- 2 TBSP warm water
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
-approximately 1/3 cup milk
(Proportions are based on personal preference for sweetness and intensity)
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, dissolve matcha powder in water by stirring with a fork.
2. Blend yogurt, honey, vanilla, and milk in a food processor. Add matcha mixture and blend again until well incorporated. Pour mixture into a sealable container and freeze until solid or use an ice cream maker (I highly recommend the ice cream maker)
*if using an ice cream maker, enjoy immediately
*if not, allow frozen yogurt to thaw slightly at room temperature before eating, about 10 minutes
